Laboratoriyaning yo’nalishi
1. Qizilqum cho‘li va unga tutash hududlarga alohida e’tibor qaratgan holda Markaziy Osiyo ekstremofil o‘simliklari va tuproq endemlarining xilma-xilligi, ekologiyasi va moslashuvini (faqat o‘ziga xos tuproqlarda o‘sadigan o‘simliklar – masalan, gipsli, sho‘rxok, serpentin va b.) o‘rganish va bu o‘simliklarning ro‘yxatini shakllantirish.
2. Hayotiy sikli davomida C3 dan C4 ga o‘tadigan o‘simliklarga alohida urg’u bergan holda C4 va ba’zi C3 ekstremofil o‘simliklarning ekologiyasi, anatomiyasi va morfologiyasini, shuningdek C4 dominantlik qiladigan ekotoplarni o‘rganish.
3. Markaziy O‘zbekistonning qurg‘oqchil mintaqasidagi degradatsiyaga uchragan hududlar va qazilma konlari uchun fitoremediatsiya strategiyasini ishlab chiqish.
4. Markaziy Osiyoning ekstremofil o‘simliklari va tuproq endemlari bo‘yicha muhim ekologik ma’lumotlar bazasini tuzish.
5. Qurg‘oqchil hududlarda izotop tadqiqotlari uchun zamonaviy kriogen suv ajratish texnologiyasini yaratish. Bu uskuna o‘simliklar va tuproqdan yuqori aniqlikda suv namunalarini olish uchun mo‘ljallangan. Kriogen suv ajratish texnologiyasi suvni o‘ta past haroratda (muzlatish orqali) ajratishga asoslangan bo‘lib, bu usul suvdagi izotoplarning tabiiy holatini saqlab qolishga imkon beradi.
